Monday, January 5 – Walking in My New Way: Moving Beyond the Old

Scriptures

  • 2 Corinthians 5:17 — Old things passed away; all things become new
  • Isaiah 43:18–19 — Forget the former things; God is doing a new thing

Prayer Points

  • Lord, help me fully embrace who I am as a new creation in Christ.
  • Give me grace to let go of old habits, mindsets, and patterns.
  • Strengthen me to walk forward without being pulled back by the past.
  • Help me identify with who I am becoming in You, not who I used to be.
  • Thank You that my new life in Christ is greater than my former life.

Tuesday, January 6 – Embracing the Challenge of Remaining in Christ

Scriptures

  • John 15:4–5 — Abide in Me and bear much fruit
  • Colossians 2:6–7 — Continue living in Him, rooted and built up

Prayer Points

  • Lord, help me remain rooted and grounded in Christ daily.
  • Teach me to abide in You even when it is difficult or uncomfortable.
  • Guard my heart from drifting back into old ways of thinking or living.
  • Strengthen my spiritual discipline to stay connected to You.
  • Let my life bear fruit that reflects a life abiding in Christ.

Wednesday, January 7 – No Obligation to the Old Self

  • Romans 8:11–14 — No longer debtors to the flesh
  • Galatians 5:16 — Walk in the Spirit, not the flesh

Prayer Points

  • Lord, remind me that I owe my old life nothing.
  • Help me walk by the Spirit and not be controlled by the flesh.
  • Break lingering attachments to sin, fear, and old desires.
  • Empower me through the Holy Spirit to live free and obedient.
  • Thank You that the same Spirit who raised Jesus lives in me.

Thursday, January 8 – New Creation Through Renewal of the Mind

  • Romans 12:2 — Be transformed by the renewing of your mind
  • Ephesians 4:22–24 — Put off the old self; put on the new

Prayer Points

  • Lord, renew my mind so my life reflects my new identity in Christ.
  • Replace old thought patterns with truth, faith, and righteousness.
  • Help me think, speak, and respond as a new creation.
  • Transform how I see myself, others, and my future.
  • Let my renewed mind produce renewed behavior and fruit.

Friday, January 9 – Healing from the Old, Whole in the New (Healing Friday)

Exodus 1:6-22

Now Joseph and all his brothers and all that generation died, but the Israelites were exceedingly fruitful; they multiplied greatly, increased in numbers and became so numerous that the land was filled with them.

Then a new king, to whom Joseph meant nothing, came to power in Egypt. “Look,” he said to his people, “the Israelites have become far too numerous for us. 10 Come, we must deal shrewdly with them or they will become even more numerous and, if war breaks out, will join our enemies, fight against us and leave the country.”

11 So they put slave masters over them to oppress them with forced labor, and they built Pithom and Rameses as store cities for Pharaoh. 12 But the more they were oppressed, the more they multiplied and spread; so the Egyptians came to dread the Israelites 13 and worked them ruthlessly. 14 They made their lives bitter with harsh labor in brick and mortar and with all kinds of work in the fields; in all their harsh labor the Egyptians worked them ruthlessly.

15 The king of Egypt said to the Hebrew midwives, whose names were Shiphrah and Puah, 16 “When you are helping the Hebrew women during childbirth on the delivery stool, if you see that the baby is a boy, kill him; but if it is a girl, let her live.” 17 The midwives, however, feared God and did not do what the king of Egypt had told them to do; they let the boys live. 18 Then the king of Egypt summoned the midwives and asked them, “Why have you done this? Why have you let the boys live?”

19 The midwives answered Pharaoh, “Hebrew women are not like Egyptian women; they are vigorous and give birth before the midwives arrive.”

20 So God was kind to the midwives and the people increased and became even more numerous. 21 And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families of their own.

22 Then Pharaoh gave this order to all his people: “Every Hebrew boy that is born you must throw into the Nile, but let every girl live.
