Focus: Jesus Our Advocate (1 John 2:1–2)

Scripture (Written Out)

1 John 2:1–2
1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

Prayer Points:

  • Lord, thank You for Jesus Christ, my Advocate and atoning sacrifice for my sins.

  • Help me turn from sin quickly and walk in the forgiveness You freely give.

📅 Tuesday, December 9 — Sister Cassandra Cash-Garrett

Focus: Obedience & Walking Like Christ (1 John 2:3–6)

Scripture (Written Out)

1 John 2:3–6
3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Prayer Points:

  • Father, give me the desire and strength to obey Your commands.

  • Help me live in a way that reflects Jesus’ character and example.

📅 Wednesday, December 10 — Pastor Cash

Focus: Love & Living in the Light (1 John 2:7–11)

Scripture (Written Out)

1 John 2:7–11
7 Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning…
8 Again, a new commandment I write unto you… because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.
9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.
10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness… and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

Prayer Points:

  • Holy Spirit, teach me to love others sincerely and consistently.

  • Remove all hatred, bitterness, and darkness from my heart.

  • Help me walk in the light so my relationships honor You.

📅 Thursday, December 11 — Brother Mark Deadwyler

Focus: Spiritual Growth at Every Stage (1 John 2:12–14)

Scripture (Written Out)

1 John 2:12–14
12 I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake.
13 I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one…
14 I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

Prayer Points:

  • Thank You, Lord, for the assurance of forgiveness through Your name.

  • Strengthen those who are young in faith to overcome the evil one.

  • Help me grow deeper in knowing You and use my maturity to encourage others.

📅 Friday, December 12 — Elder Carrie Howell (Healing Friday)

Focus: Rejecting Worldliness & Remaining in Truth (1 John 2:15–20)

Scripture (Written Out)

1 John 2:15–17
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world…
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

1 John 2:18–20
18 Little children, it is the last time… even now are there many antichrists…
19 They went out from us, but they were not of us…
20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.

Prayer Points:

  • Father, help me not to love the world or crave its temporary pleasures.

  • Give me victory over the lust of the flesh, eyes, and pride of life.

  • Teach me to value what is eternal rather than what passes away.

  • Lord, give me discernment to recognize deception.

  • Thank You for the anointing of the Holy Spirit—keep me grounded in truth.

Protect Your Season

Exodus 1:6-22

Now Joseph and all his brothers and all that generation died, but the Israelites were exceedingly fruitful; they multiplied greatly, increased in numbers and became so numerous that the land was filled with them.

Then a new king, to whom Joseph meant nothing, came to power in Egypt. “Look,” he said to his people, “the Israelites have become far too numerous for us. 10 Come, we must deal shrewdly with them or they will become even more numerous and, if war breaks out, will join our enemies, fight against us and leave the country.”

11 So they put slave masters over them to oppress them with forced labor, and they built Pithom and Rameses as store cities for Pharaoh. 12 But the more they were oppressed, the more they multiplied and spread; so the Egyptians came to dread the Israelites 13 and worked them ruthlessly. 14 They made their lives bitter with harsh labor in brick and mortar and with all kinds of work in the fields; in all their harsh labor the Egyptians worked them ruthlessly.

15 The king of Egypt said to the Hebrew midwives, whose names were Shiphrah and Puah, 16 “When you are helping the Hebrew women during childbirth on the delivery stool, if you see that the baby is a boy, kill him; but if it is a girl, let her live.” 17 The midwives, however, feared God and did not do what the king of Egypt had told them to do; they let the boys live. 18 Then the king of Egypt summoned the midwives and asked them, “Why have you done this? Why have you let the boys live?”

19 The midwives answered Pharaoh, “Hebrew women are not like Egyptian women; they are vigorous and give birth before the midwives arrive.”

20 So God was kind to the midwives and the people increased and became even more numerous. 21 And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families of their own.

22 Then Pharaoh gave this order to all his people: “Every Hebrew boy that is born you must throw into the Nile, but let every girl live.
