Theme (Dec 21–26): “OBEDIENCE”

“Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be unto me according to Your word.” — Luke 1:38

“…the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying… fear not… for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.”

John 10:27
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”

Prayer Points

  • Lord, sharpen our spiritual hearing like Mary, who responded immediately to Your voice.

  • Remove every distraction that keeps us from hearing You clearly.

  • Give us a sensitive heart—quick to listen, quick to surrender, quick to obey.

  • Lord, just as Joseph heard You in a dream, speak to us in the night seasons.

  • Help us recognize Your voice above all others during this Christmas season.

Psalm 130:5
“I wait for the Lord… and in His word do I hope.”

Prayer Points

  • Lord, give us the posture of Simeon—waiting faithfully for Your promise to appear.

  • Teach us to wait without complaining, doubting, or rushing ahead of You.

  • Increase our expectation during this Advent season—help us obey while we wait.

  • Help us believe that waiting is not wasting; it is preparation for fulfillment.

  • Lord, restore our joy and strength as we wait for You to move.

📅 Wednesday, Dec 23 – Lord, Give Us a Greater Heart of Expectation to Help Us Obey

Scriptures

Romans 15:13
“The God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing…”

Prayer Points

  • Lord, give us Mary’s expectancy—believing that every word You speak will be fulfilled.

  • Build our faith so obedience becomes easier and joy-filled.

  • Stir expectation in our hearts for miracles, provision, and answered prayers.

  • Let Christmas remind us that You always keep Your promises.

  • May our obedience be fueled by hope, not fear.

📅 Thursday, Dec 24 – Lord, Help Us Be Better Examples of Obedience

Prayer Points

  • Lord, like the shepherds, help us obey quickly and joyfully.

  • Let our obedience shine as an example to our children, families, and church.

  • Teach us to obey even when we do not understand, as the Wise Men did.

  • Shape our character into the obedience of Christ Himself.

  • Let our obedience bring others closer to Jesus this Christmas.

Prayer Points

  • Lord, release healing—physical, emotional, spiritual—through our obedience.

  • As we obey Your Word, let restoration flow in our homes and families.

  • Heal broken hearts, broken relationships, and broken spirits.

  • Let this Christmas be a time of supernatural healing because we choose obedience.

  • Just as Mary said, “Do whatever He tells you,” give us courage to obey and receive breakthrough.

Protect Your Season

August 18, 2024 - by Rev. Brian A. Cash, Pastor

Exodus 1:6-22

Now Joseph and all his brothers and all that generation died, but the Israelites were exceedingly fruitful; they multiplied greatly, increased in numbers and became so numerous that the land was filled with them.

Then a new king, to whom Joseph meant nothing, came to power in Egypt. “Look,” he said to his people, “the Israelites have become far too numerous for us. 10 Come, we must deal shrewdly with them or they will become even more numerous and, if war breaks out, will join our enemies, fight against us and leave the country.”

11 So they put slave masters over them to oppress them with forced labor, and they built Pithom and Rameses as store cities for Pharaoh. 12 But the more they were oppressed, the more they multiplied and spread; so the Egyptians came to dread the Israelites 13 and worked them ruthlessly. 14 They made their lives bitter with harsh labor in brick and mortar and with all kinds of work in the fields; in all their harsh labor the Egyptians worked them ruthlessly.

15 The king of Egypt said to the Hebrew midwives, whose names were Shiphrah and Puah, 16 “When you are helping the Hebrew women during childbirth on the delivery stool, if you see that the baby is a boy, kill him; but if it is a girl, let her live.” 17 The midwives, however, feared God and did not do what the king of Egypt had told them to do; they let the boys live. 18 Then the king of Egypt summoned the midwives and asked them, “Why have you done this? Why have you let the boys live?”

19 The midwives answered Pharaoh, “Hebrew women are not like Egyptian women; they are vigorous and give birth before the midwives arrive.”

20 So God was kind to the midwives and the people increased and became even more numerous. 21 And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families of their own.

22 Then Pharaoh gave this order to all his people: “Every Hebrew boy that is born you must throw into the Nile, but let every girl live.
